LLI members are invited to an interactive tour with Casey Robertson, Hessel Museum of Art Public Engagement Manager of the exhibition 15. The exhibition was curated by 15 MA candidates at the Center for Curatorial Studies.
The projects span from painting to video to site-specific commissions from exhibitions that grappled with contemporary conditions to those that mine the past and from explorations of digital dystopias to those of underrepresented archives. This is just the starting point, a road map looking for links across different media. What are the devices that connect all of the players in the room?
LLI member L. Walker will host this interactive tour of 15, challenging participants to ask the question: How does a deep engagement with history help us critically reimagine the present? See art as you never have before-stand back, get close, talk to the person next to you. What do you see? Is there a common thread here?
A wine and cheese reception will follow the tour at 2:30 p.m.
