*Z3B. Six Conversations About Gender

History & World Affairs | Registration opens 8/27/2025 9:00 AM

Gender politics are tearing our country apart. Project 2025 wants to restore the patriarchal family; the burgeoning manosphere pulls in young men and rages against women; trans people are scapegoats; women are targeted in the DEI backlash. Research tells us things aren’t so simple. Boys are falling behind; XX and XY chromosomes don’t tell the whole story; young girls are sexualized on social media; the dream of gender equity is fading. Using experts’ readings and videos, this class will study the complex forces shaping the gender wars today and wrestle with new perspectives. Required readings will be available weekly on the internet.
