The course will feature live performances of chamber, classical repertoire, and some original compositions by students of the Bard Conservatory of Music. The course will be presented by Bard professor and Grammy Award–winning composer Joan Tower, who will introduce the musicians and moderate a question-and-answer period following the performances.
NOTE: Since this has been a very popular course in the past, we request that anyone who has taken it wait to register until the preregistration period has closed.

Joan Tower (LLI) has received several recent awards including Musical America Worldwide's 2020 Composer of the Year; induction into the Classical Music Hall of Fame (2019); and the Golden Baton 2019, the highest honor conferred by the League of American Orchestras.
