On Sunday, May 10,  LLI members will be treated to a reception at Fisher Center prior to a concert at Fisher Center. “Plus ones” are welcome. If you would like to bring a "plus one," please email Robert Inglish at ringlish@lli.bard.edu.

A concert featuring works by Richard Strauss will commence at 3 p.m. highlighting the Alpine Symphony described as “a glorious opulent masterpiece” which takes listeners through the ascent and descent of a mountain in the Alps. Leon Botstein will conduct the Bard College Conservatory Orchestra and James Bagwell will direct the Bard Festival Chorale.Two other Strauss works will be performed, Burleske for piano and orchestra and Tageszeiten (Times of the Day), a setting of four nature poems.
