F2A Healthy Aging: Part One
Personal Growth | Registration opens 9/2/2026 12:00 AM
Aging is inevitable, but the speed of decline can be significantly altered.
This course provides scientific evidence on strategies to ensure adequate physical and cognitive reserve as we age. Part One will focus on expanding the quality part of longevity. Topics include the biology and mechanisms of aging, the major factors affecting longevity, the epidemiological evidence of how exercise impacts physical and cognitive functions and reduces the risk of age-related diseases, and the key components of adequate exercise that will lead to healthy aging. Healthy Aging: Part Two (which will be presented in SummerFest 2027) will focus on the role of diet and nutrition. This course’s goal will be to promote action, not just provide information.
