X2 Balance For Life: Staying Steady and Strong
Movement & Dance | Registration opens 9/2/2026 12:00 AM
Each year, nearly 40% of adults over age 70 experience a fall, and many of these falls result in serious injury. This practical course will introduce participants to simple exercises designed to improve balance, stability, and confidence in everyday movement. Students will learn techniques that strengthen the legs and feet while supporting the body systems involved in maintaining balance. Participants should bring a lightweight mat and be prepared for gentle physical activity. Reference materials for all exercises discussed in class will be provided, so note-taking will not be necessary.
NOTE: This class will meet at Starr Library in Rhinebeck for one session on Wednesday, September 23.
