Join the Bucknell Institute for Lifelong Learning for a Tour and Tasting at Mifflinburg's Rusty Rail Brewing Company, 5 N 8th St Suite #1, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
As Pennsylvania's largest brewpub, The Rusty Rail offers a one-of-a-kind dining atmosphere that includes several hand-painted murals and restored Ford trucks from the early 1900s that were built on site. The head brewer will guide us through the beer-making facility where lager, ale, IPAs, shandy, and hazy drinks are concocted and we will also tour the Great Room, Pardee Room, and Rusty Rail Suites. A sampling of beers and snacks will await us in the Game Room on the second floor, complete with 1923 Brunswick pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball, darts, and video game tables. The room also features an impressive trophy collection of wild game mounts from all over the world.
In 2013, brothers Paul and Eric John conceived of converting the warehouse once used to manufacture carriage seats, horseless carriages, and travel trailers, into a destination that everyone could be proud of as a way to pay tribute to the hard-working families that built the community of Mifflinburg. Now, BILL members and friends have an opportunity for a private tour of the facility and a guided tasting experience. You'll keep your souvenir pint glass, too!
