“There is a River will make you think, so only come with an open mind. We all need to think outside the box.” – Jim Digan
Review the life of a man whom the medical profession called a "quack,” and yet most of his diagnostics and therapies proved correct. He was called a "fake," and yet most of his predictions came true. Although he read The Bible at least one time through for every year he lived and taught a Sunday School class that everyone in the town wanted to attend, in "sleeping states," he was considered a nonbeliever, and most of the religious and scientific communities did not like what he had to say.
This man was Edgar Cayce. In his own lifetime, Cayce never became rich or famous, but he is considered the father of holistic medicine, the “Sleeping Prophet,” and he is the most documented psychic of modern times.
There Is a River is the story of Edgar Cayce’s life and his dealings with all who questioned him. A Kentucky farmer with an eighth-grade education, Cayce’s sole purpose in life was to be a good person and help people. After considering his life story, the class will talk through the philosophy derived from his readings and writings.
This class will include some lecture and a lot of discussion. Once registered for this course, participants should get a copy of the required text and begin reading.
