Explore Clemson University’s 295-acre garden of natural and manicured landscapes, include the Natural Heritage Garden with its unique collection of native plants and natural dioramas. From its beginning as a camellia collection in the 1950’s, the South Carolina Botanical Garden serves to engage people in the understanding of local plants, animals, minerals, and South Carolina culture. Tour this natural refuge, from the Wren House and the Hanover House to the gardens themselves the week of the annual fall plant sale! Patrick McMillan, Hillard Professor of Environmental Sustainability and host of the Emmy award-winning PBS program “Expeditions with Patrick McMillan” will be joining us for a portion of the program.
Excursion Volunteers lead this outdoor experience along with Garden staff and Volunteers.
