Join Anaston Porter, Water Resources Agent from Pickens County Clemson Extension and Carolina Yard Statewide Coordinator, to talk about rain gardens and their benefit to water management in a home landscape as well as briefly go over the Carolina Yards Program 12 Principles. Carolina Yards is designed to help South Carolinians conserve water and make positive changes to the environmental quality of their yards, neighborhoods, and surrounding waterways. Anaston Porter received her degrees from Clemson University: B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and a Masters in Agricultural Education. Anaston currently helps to coordinate and plan extension programming related to water quality in Pickens County. This includes supporting programs such as Carolina Clear and Anderson Pickens County Stormwater Partners Consortium throughout the county. Anaston also coordinates the Carolina Yards Program through Clemson Extension.
