Hacking Maintenance

Have you lost weight but struggle to maintain your loss? Are you trying to lose weight but feeling (once again) discouraged? Learn practical skills and healthy “hacks” for sustaining maintenance, including the three C’s: Creativity, Consistency and Connection. Topics include eating out, traveling tips, saying “no” to well-meaning friends, and the latest science in metabolic and cardiovascular health. Students will explore values, scenarios and solutions in class. Recipes included!
Laura Hout is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Master of Arts in Psychology as well as a Master of Professional Writing from the University of Southern California. She's worked in eating disorder centers, substance abuse treatment programs and mental health agencies.
