Charcuterie Boards and Individual Charcuterie Cups
In-Person Class | FULL (Membership Required)
A charcuterie board is a French-inspired appetizer platter featuring a curated selection of cured meats, cheeses, and accompaniments meant for sharing. The boards are known for their visual appeal and diverse mix of flavors and textures. The term "charcuterie" refers to cold cooked, cured, or smoked meats, so a traditional charcuterie board is essentially a meat platter. However, it has been modernized to include cheeses, fruits, vegetables and other edibles. A modernized spin on charcuterie called “charcuterie cups” has been developed to make it relatively simple for guests to sample the offerings of a charcuterie board in individual servings. Like a charcuterie board, this is done with an aesthetically pleasing arrangement. There is no wrong or right with charcuterie, it can be as simple or creative as you wish it to be! Each student will make and take home their own charcuterie cup.
