Understanding How Disinformation Affects Our Thinking and Speaking
In-Person Class | Available (Membership Required)
Disinformation affects how we talk and think about things, as well as how we see things and sometimes how we act. Critics have described us as a post-truth society. But that’s not all of us. Let’s protect ourselves from being misled. Anyone can learn the skill of recognizing disinformation. We’ll use examples of climate disinformation to learn how to spot untruths. We’ll begin to understand how to immunize ourselves against distortion of the truth and keep our thinking clear. After our discussion-oriented class, you'll be better able to spot the characteristics of disinformation and think and speak more clearly about the environment and other subjects important to you.
