Introducing Homer’s Iliad

In-Person Class | Registration opens Monday, December 15, 2025 9:00 AM

This is an instance of poetry telling a wonderful story. Helen of Troy and the Trojan horse—the plot is well known and loved for its adventure, drama, and seemingly unavoidable tragedy. The origin of the story is the Iliad, a famous Greek poem attributed to Homer, widely considered to be one of the founding authors of Western Literature. He wove myth, fact, and high drama worthy of any age. Who were the heroes, and who the villains? Who were the strange mythological characters behind the action? Did the city of Troy really exist? This class will answer those questions and more.
