Whether you are a reader, a writer, or recipe collector, there is something here to whet your appetite! This course aims to inspire and inform as it explores the link between culinary arts and storytelling. We will explore the story line and key themes of "The Taste of Trouble" and discover how recipes are integrated into the narrative. Participants will gain a better under-standing of the writing and publishing process, the fascination of creating a culinary crime novel, and a “novel” approach with practical tips to launch their own literary projects. Christian Thormose was born in Denmark and graduated from culinary school in Copenhagen. He has worked as a cook, sous-chef, and executive chef in Denmark, France and the United States. He was selected as one of the Executive Chefs for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and again in 2012 in London. Christian is an advocate for sustainable practices and community well-being. He penned the book Tastes of Clemson Blue Cheese, in 2019, celebrating local flavors and culinary artistry.
