Women: Finding Yourself in Your Art
In-Person Class | Registration opens Monday, December 15, 2025 9:00 AM
Have you ever wanted to escape (even just for an hour) and let your imagination take you to a new place? Well, here is the setting and the environment for that to happen. In these sessions, and following a short meditation, we will let art activities remind us of childhood, good times, and stories that might be shared. Using canvas boards, found objects, and a variety of crafting materials, we will encourage creativity to roam free. Each participant may create their own canvas board and a clay spirit rattle. Most importantly, fun will be the top priority. All supplies for the sessions will be provided.
Penny Brunner was a university professor for many years. After a cancer diagnosis, she turned to art courses for healing. Painting, drawing, and pottery became great sources of joy. Kim Trella has been studying multimedia art for the past 22 years. Her courses included watercolor, acrylics, collage, and wool felting among others. Following a stroke, Kim's art allowed her point of reference to shift from her illness to the creation of beauty.
