Are you unsure about your American Mah Jongg abilities and hesitant to join one of the Shared Interest Groups (SIG)? We've got you covered with our Beginning Mah Jongg course designed to acquaint you with the essentials of American Mah Jongg. This isn't the Solitaire version you might play on your laptop. In this hands-on course, you'll delve into the basics, grasp terms like "crack, bams, and dots," understand concepts like doubleton and singleton and decode the meanings behind dragons, winds and flowers. During the course, you'll engage in practice matches with fellow players, master the art of "Charleston" and refine your gameplay with insights into the game's intricacies. After completing the course, you'll have the opportunity to join one of the Mah Jongg groups. To get the most out of the course, participants are encouraged to attend all four classes when they are offered.
