We will look at the whys and hows of Nazi art looting before and during WWII. Meet the heroes who tried to protect, recover and return stolen art. Referencing notable art masterpieces we’ll explore the journey from theft to recovery. The course will also review the ongoing legal struggles for restitution continuing today.
JoAnn Panza has a lifelong interest in American History, especially WWII, particularly little-known stories of the period. Previous courses, “Female Spies” and “Women on the Homefront” were extensively researched and well received. Please join her as she continues to share stories of ‘regular’ people making a difference in WWII.
