OLLI is proud to partner with the Holly Springs Center to offer this class.

Students will learn how to make a face jug using the coil method of hand building. Once the jug is created, you will then learn how to sculpt the face and attach a handle. Participants will need to return on the second class date to glaze the face jug after the first firing.

Michelle Petty is a teaching artist holding an art education degree with a concentration in ceramics. She has taught at Spartanburg High School, Fairington Elementary School in Lithonia, GA, Aiken Center for the Arts, Callenwold Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, GA, Spruill Center for the Arts in Dunwoody, GA and Holly Springs Center in Pickens SC. Her work can be seen at The White Rabbit Fine Art Gallery in Travelers Rest, SC.
