Zoom | Registration opens Monday, August 17, 2026 9:00 AM
In this presentation, we will discuss key learnings, possibilities, and limitations in exploring the vast wilderness and history of the 23 National Park Service units in Alaska. Our discussion features scenes of incredible beauty and fascinating history through America’s last wilderness frontier.
David Kroese is one of fewer than a hundred people known to have visited all 430+ National Park Service units. Over the past decade, David has logged 1,700+ site visits and over 6,000 trail miles exploring NPS units across the country. David wrote of his experiences in the first published narrative through all the NPS sites, The Centennial: A Journey through America’s National Park System. David shares his enthusiasm for our park system in speaking engagements across the country and is currently working on his next book, Amidst the Icons: Hidden Gems of America’s National Park System.
