In this course, we will discuss the documents that make up a thorough estate plan, such as wills, will substitutes (trust), advanced directives, and all the options for estate and legacy planning including:
- How to best protect my estate from probate
- What documents do I really need to protect my assets for my family
- What documents do I really need to allow my family to take care of me during incapacity
- How do I protect myself from becoming a target of financial exploitation
- How to protect a parent, spouse, or sibling who may be suffering from dementia.
We will also discuss some of the more common signs of elder abuse and financial exploitation and the best legal means for avoiding and/or remediating those.
