The Wisdom of World Religions

In-Person Class | Registration opens Monday, August 17, 2026 9:00 AM

The world's great spiritual traditions have given us a priceless gift: their wisdom. There are mystics, poets, monastics, and spiritual masters from various religions who are ready to share it. In this course, we will sample the wisdom of Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and Sikhism. The conceptual foundation will be Perennial Wisdom, which points to a shared spiritual viewpoint at the heart of these religions. Although Christianity has been the predominant religion of America for the past 250 years, the religious landscape is shifting. Many Americans are curious about other religions and feel that learning about different spiritual traditions can make them better citizens of our multicultural world. While teaching an introduction to world religions at Brevard College, Dr. Field collected wisdom from the world’s religions. He loves to share it!

Rob Field is the founding director of Center for Spiritual Wisdom, a nonprofit, independent spirituality center for all seekers.
