Join us as we read selections from a curated collection of forty nine short stories by some of the icons of world literature. We will sample the works of Chekhov, Dostoyevsky, Henry James, James Joyce, Virginia Wolf, Flannery O’Connor and many more familiar and less familiar writers. Choose an old favorite that you would like to share or pick one you’d like to learn more about.

Format: Each participant will choose a short story and lead a one-hour session beginning with an overview of the author and their work followed by discussion questions based on that selection.

Resources/Expenses: Our text is Great Short Stories of the Masters, Charles Neider, ed. (Cooper Square Press 2002 edition) available on Amazon Prime, new $19.95 and less for used and from your local library.
