iPhone Photography Basics

NOTE: This course is limited to iPhone users only.
Are you an iPhone user who would like to learn more about its built-in camera and photo editor? Are you interested in taking professional looking photos? Topics included are:
1) using features of the camera to get the best photos in various settings
2) use of the built in Apple photo editor
. 3) An introduction to the editing app Snapseed
4) an overview of the principles of good photography
Format: Class will include live demonstrations and hands on practice with phones, tablets or MacBooks. Class sessions will be supplemented by videos and assignments to be completed outside of class.
Requirements: Participants must have a recent model iPhone: iPhone 11 or newer, or iPhone SE (2nd or 3rd generation). (To confirm your phone version, go to Settings> General> About.) Participants will use their iPhones, iPads and MacBooks for editing in class and completing at home exercises.

Margaret Lawrence has been a management consultant and writer. Margaret is an avid photographer who has exchanged her Nikon for an iPhone for all her work. Her interests include travel photography, portraits, special occasions, etc. She has been a Co-Coordinator of the Cell Phone Photography club since 2022.
