America’s Presidents: Successes and Failures
Zoom Video Conference | Registration opens 12/1/2025 9:00 AM
In American political history, a few presidents stand out as great and successful. In this class we will review the assessments of outstanding figures such as Washington, Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt while also considering the performance of other presidents. Who performed very well and who in history’s eyes, was mediocre or worse? We will take a fresh look at the occupants of the presidency looking for new conclusions on what led to success or failure from today’s perspective.
Format: Class members will be asked to make a presentation on a president or lead a discussion on topics that they will select from a list prepared by the coordinators.
Resources/Expenses: No expenses are anticipated. Coordinators will guide participants to resources.
