The Birds…
Fall is an interesting time to watch a combination of adult and young birds. Plus, migration will be underway, which means anything might turn up! Candice Lowther will keep track of the different birds we see and hear, and she will share that list in an email after the walk.
The trail is about one mile long with occasional benches and stops to admire the birds we meet. Please dress for the weather, bring your binoculars, and prepare for an adventure!
and the Bees.
At the end of the walk, join the park’s beekeeper at a safe distance from the bee hive. The beekeeper will show a frame from inside the hive containing honey bee larvae and pupae, as well as stored honey and pollen. Be ready to taste some Walney honey.
