In January 2025, David and Mary Pace visited India, riding a rolling palace, the Deccan Odyssey train from Delhi to Mumbai. Now David will take LLI members along in reliving this immersive exploration of India’s cultural and natural treasures. You will visit iconic destinations such as Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Vadodara, and Aurangabad. Highlights include a safari at Ranthambore National Park, a visit to the Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World), and the vibrant bazaars of Jaipur. You’ll see palaces of Maharajas. You’ll visit locations seen in the James Bond movie Octopussy as the train carries you down to the Indian Ocean.
