F25-1105P THE REMARKABLE LIFE OF T.E. LAWRENCE: LAWRENCE OF ARABIA

Class | Available (Membership Required)

Steve Abramowitz’s presentation will be filled with pictures and some videos chronicling the life of one of the most remarkable figures of the early 20th century, T.E. Lawrence. Most people today know of him and the role he played during World War I because of the 1962 epic movie Lawrence of Arabia, which centered on his exploits during the war in the deserts of Arabia. In addition to World War I, Steve will examine Lawrence’s life before the war and the experiences that enabled him to assume the leadership role in the war in the desert. He will also discuss the remarkable life Lawrence led after the war, which could be a great movie unto itself. All in all, this will be a most informative and fascinating look into the life of one of history’s most remarkable persons – Lawrence of Arabia.
