F26-1005A IN SEARCH OF THE SMALLEST THING

Class | Registration opens 9/14/26 12:00 AM

In the final section of “The Search for the Smallest Thing”, we’ll get heavily into subatomic particles. It turns out there are a lot of them, and a lot of them are made of even smaller particles like “quarks”. We’ll talk about particle accelerators and how they contribute to new discoveries. We’ll talk about the Four Fundamental forces that are the foundation of Physics. We’ll talk about the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and how it complicates things. And finally we’ll talk about the Higgs Boson, which is responsible for all the mass in the Universe.
