F26-1104P MAKING ARTFUL CONNECTIONS ACROSS THE SMITHSONIAN
Class | Registration opens 9/14/26 12:00 AM
At a recent visit to the National Zoo to see the baby elephant, presenter Sara Shoob thought about a work of art in the Renwick Gallery’s contemporary craft collection. She will guide us through the many connections between artworks in the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and draw parallels with works and knowledge from other museums, including artifacts at the National Museum of African History and Culture, a flag from the American History Museum, rocks from the National Museum of Natural History, phenomena from the Air and Space Museum, regalia from the National Museum of the American Indian, and more.
