Black Holes Explained

Class | Available (Membership Required)

Join Bill Haskell for this class  based on a Great Courses lecture series, dated 2009, by the same title. The 12 lectures by Professor Alex Filippenko will be broken into two parts with each part consisting of six lectures supplemented with more recent content from other sourced videos. Part B will be presented in the spring 2025 semester. Black holes are regions of space in which gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light can escape.
