Larry Merrill
Larry Merrill is a former teacher and guidance counselor. For the last 20 years of his career, he worked in overseas military schools as an elementary school guidance counselor for DoDDS (Department of Defense Dependent Schools). If a military person is stationed overseas for more than 6 months, he can bring his family. The children will need a school. As a counselor to elementary students, I would go into the classroom and give guidance presentations. I used magic tricks to illustrate the lesson theme. How to handle sad, mad, scared, put downs, bullies, how to make friends etc. Each lesson had a magic trick to illustrate and explain the concept. It was a really fun job and the kids loved it.
