John Overdorff

John Overdorff holds B.S. and MBA degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. Most recently a Partner at Greenburg Traurig from 2001 to 2012. Raised in Beaver Falls, PA (anyone remember Joe Namath, I occasionally played alley pick up football with him). After receiving my MBA in 1968, i married Janice and we immediately moved to Philadelphia, where I was Director of Low and Moderate Income Housing for the Philadelphia Authority, departing in 1977 for law school in Nashville. In 1980 practiced law in Chicago until 1987 and then moved permanently to Phoenix. I was President of the Phoenix Sister Cities Commission and was on its Board for a number of years. i was also the National Association of Bond Lawyers representative to the Governmental Accounting Standards advisory Council for 9 years. Janice and I will be married for 54 years this year and have one daughter and three grandchildren, who mercifully left New York to come to Phoenix and they now live less than a mile from us.
