History in Movies: Fact or Myth?

Whether based on a true story, inspired by a past time or a rigorous accounting of actual events, movies based on history often leave us asking: did that really happen? In this class, we’ll watch six movies about a real event in history and discuss what parts depicted are true and what parts are myth. Let’s see together what films made up history and which ones were faithful to events.
Kay Little
Kay Little earned her degree in elementary education from East Central University in Ada, Okla. She taught in public schools, homeschooled her sons, taught history to classes of homeschoolers and served as the director of the Bartlesville Area History Museum for nearly seven years. She now owns her own business, Little History Adventures, through which she gives local, Oklahoma and U.S. history presentations to groups of all ages.
