Each week, we’ll explore a different mode of transportation and the history and culture surrounding it. We’ll start by stepping 100 years into the past to examine the Interurban Railway that connected Bartlesville, Dewey and Tuxedo with the three smelters southwest of town. Next, it’s all about the wheels. We’ll drive into the world of classic and vintage cars and the car shows that bring together fans, collectors, restorers and provide hours of visual entertainment for families. Finally, it's wheels up as we take to the air. We’ll examine aviation of the past, present and future. So much has changed, but much has stayed the same. Each week will feature a different expert for a lively learning experience.
Kay Little
Kay Little earned her degree in elementary education from East Central University in Ada, Okla. She taught in public schools, homeschooled her sons, taught history to classes of homeschoolers and served as the director of the Bartlesville Area History Museum for nearly seven years. She now owns her own business, Little History Adventures, through which she gives local, Oklahoma and U.S. history presentations to groups of all ages.
