Explore life in WWII-era Los Alamos, New Mexico, where the world’s first atomic bomb was developed. Learn about the factors behind the decision to use the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and examine how that moment shaped global policy. The course also looks at Los Alamos today—its role in modern nuclear science and the ongoing implications for nuclear proliferation and non-proliferation.
