In America’s largest discussion program on world affairs, we will address weekly topics such as American foreign policy, U.S. changing leadership of the world economy, U.S.-China relations, India’s pivotal position, international cooperation on climate change, the future of NATO and European security, AI and our national security, U.S. foreign policy and the Middle East. Topic experts will be on hand to give us more information and guide group discussion. A full list of topics is available on the OLLI course enrollment web page.
Dr.Pam Brown
Dr. Pam Brown is a retired Professor of Curriculum Studies, OSU. One of her retirement hobbies is music, particularly the ukulele. She’s been playing since 2020 and is a proud member of Stillwater Ukulele Association’s Misspent Ukes, a performance troupe.
Dr. Randy Kluver
Randy Kluver is the Associate Provost and Dean of Oklahoma State University Global, Professor in the School of Media and Strategic Communication, and holds the Don and Cathey Humphreys Endowed Chair in Global Studies. Since 2017, Dr. Kluver has led transformational change in OSU’s global positioning and outreach and has revitalized the university’s administrative infrastructure to maximize global impact. Dr. Kluver led the university’s efforts in its award-winning efforts to resettle Afghan refugees in Oklahoma, which won the Senator Paul Simon Spotlight Award for Campus Internationalization in 2024.
Dr. Kluver’s research interests include Asian politics, Asian political communication, globalization, and the political and social impact of information technologies. He has published five books and scores of journal articles on Asian politics (especially China) and digital technologies. He has extensive experience both in China, where he lived during the early days of the economic reform program, and as a scholar, with dozens of journal articles and three books about China.
Dr. Nani Pybus
Dr. Pybus provides strategic proposal development services on behalf of the office of the Vice President for Research at Oklahoma State University. She is also a longtime instructor of a PhD seminar course on Grantsmanship and an associate member of the History Department’s graduate faculty at OSU. Dr. Pybus received her B.A. Magna Cum Laude, in Linguistics (with Distinction), from the University of Rochester in 1979 and an M.A. in English from Oklahoma State University in 1986. She received her Ph.D. in History (U.S. West) at Oklahoma State University in 2009. Dr. Pybus is also a Certified Research Administrator.
Previously, Dr. Pybus was a Foreign Service Officer with the United States Department of State. She served overseas in postings across the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Europe and has received multiple Meritorious and Superior Honor awards. Dr. Pybus has worked as a professional proposal writer for more than 20 years and has served as a Principal Investigator on a USAID-funded project delivering educational programming in Iraq. Dr. Adrienne Sanogo
Dr. Adrienne A. Redmond-Sanogo is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Oklahoma State University’s College of Education and Human Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Professional Education Studies with a focus on Mathematics Education from Oklahoma State University, an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from OSU. With over 20 years of experience in education, she has taught at the elementary, secondary, and university levels, specializing in mathematics instruction, technology integration, and teacher preparation. Her research focuses on STEM education, AI in teaching and learning, and equity in mathematics instruction. A dedicated leader, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives in curriculum development, student success, and faculty support. Passionate about lifelong learning, Dr. Redmond-Sanogo enjoys engaging diverse audiences in discussions about mathematics, education, and emerging technologies.
Meredith Woodruff
Meredith Williams Woodruff, a Stillwater native, served in the Central Intelligence Agency’s Directorate of Operations, living and working for more than 25 years in Central Eurasia, the Near East, Africa, and Europe. She retired from the CIA in 2006 as its most senior female officer in operations.
