Cognitive Stimulation Program: Train your Brain is an interactive 8-week group-based program aimed at improving the different cognitive skills (including memory, attention, planning, and sequencing) of older adults who may be noticing changes in their abilities or are experiencing difficulties managing their daily schedules due to cognitive deficits. The program is relevant for anyone over the age of 55 years who would like to challenge their abilities, learn about different strategies, or try different activities or online apps aimed at improving cognitive skills.

Dr. Sabiha Parveen
Sabiha Parveen, PhD, is an Associate Professor, Graduate Program Director of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Oklahoma State University and a licensed speech-language pathologist. Her bachelor’s degree is in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Calcutta in India, where she worked as a speech pathologist and audiologist. She earned her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She is passionate about community building and started a local intervention program for Parkinson’s patients and their families that centers on communication, art, nutrition and exercise.
