We’ll view and discuss a variety of foreign films including The Last Metro and Place Vendome both starring French actress Catherine Deneuve; The Sum of Us, a romantic comedy with Australians Russell Crowe and Jack Thompson; Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni in an off beat Italian encounter; In the Mood for Love an intense romance from Hong Kong with Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung, and comedy Drama Muriel's Wedding from Australia starring Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths.

Vickie Sturgeon
Vickie Sturgeon, PhD, is a graduate of the Radio-TV-Film program at OSU. She studied broadcasting and motion picture history at the University of Kansas. Motion Pictures of the 1930s and 1940s are her particular interest. Dr. Sturgeon taught mass communication and media courses for twenty years at Tennessee State University in Nashville. She has worked for several public radio stations including KOSU and Minnesota Public Radio and is involved in historic preservation including work at the Sheerar Museum in Stillwater.
