S26S-124 Being Peace: Taking the Path of Inner Peace
Stillwater | Registration opens 1/6/2026 12:00 AM CST
Living in a divided world can lead not only to outer discord and conflict but also inner unrest and turmoil. At issue in both cases is most often who's right and who's wrong and, as we each feel ourselves on the side of "right," how to stop those who are "wrong." While debate has its virtues and political action may be necessary, no lasting inner peace of mind will ever be found so long as one fixates on right and wrong. If we truly wish to be at peace, we need to find a path that lifts us above conflict without giving up our stand on the issues or abandoning the cause. This course examines the inner causes of unrest and resistance and explores ways to find inner peace despite living in a divided world, primarily by enjoying mindful practices.
