For our first Town Hall, February 17, we’re having our site-wide 20th Anniversary Year Celebration; we’ll have cake, a few prizes, and more! Then enjoy an excellent invited speaker each week; presenter schedule/topics will be available prior to enrollment opening.  

 

Penny Holt

Penny Holt, is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in marketing. She has worked in marketing research, advertising, public relations, sports marketing and marketing strategy for over 40 years. Penny has taught Financial Wellness classes throughout the state of Oklahoma and has worked at a large regional bank. She is now a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor with Oklahoma Community Credit Union where she has been since 2018. Penny is involved in various community activities and is a graduate of the Stillwater Citizen's Police Academy and Stillwater Leadership Class 32.

Sarah DeYong

Sarah DeYong is a voice teacher and performer. She is a member of NATS Texoma and the Singing for Health Network, UK. She graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with an MFA in Musical Theater Vocal Pedagogy. Her master’s thesis was entitled, “Voice Teaching within a Student’s Window of Tolerance: Upholding an Ethical Scope of Practice in a Trauma-Informed Studio.” Through her research, Sarah found a passion for trauma-informed pedagogy and continues to research, refine and apply these principles as she navigates the balance between encouraging and challenging her students.

Dr. Jon Ramsey

Dr. Ramsey anchors his teaching philosophy on student success. He believes students are a direct reflection of the program, institution, and faculty. In addition, he focuses his teaching on preparing students who have identified school-based agricultural education as their college major and career choice. Specifically, equipping them to effectively deliver instruction and leadership to agricultural programs in Oklahoma and other states.

Dr. Ramsey has been recognized for his teaching and academic advising at the departmental, university and national level. Most recently he received the Oklahoma State University Award for Academic Advisement and the American Association for Agricultural Education Distinguished Agricultural Educator Award.
