This session's films focus on wars we have endured in the past 250 years:  Glory (1989) ~ Civil War, Sergeant York (1941) ~ WWI, Saving Private Ryan (1998) ~ WWII, The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) ~ Post WWII, and Good Morning Vietnam! (1987) ~ Vietnam War. (Note: this is a continuation of the movies class we postponed in Spring 2026).

Dennis Scott

Tulsa native Dennis Scott is a theatre and silent film organist and film historian. He’s been the House Organist at Chicago’s historic Music Box Theatre for more than 25 years and is the official organist for the International Buster Keaton Society. He accompanies silent films in theatres around the U.S. and has recorded film scores for several silent film restorations.
