[NEW COURSE] The Dave Brubeck Quartet was one of the most popular groups in jazz. Brubeck generated an extraordinary public response despite performing challenging music that involved complex time signatures, polyrhythms, and multiple tonalities. This course will explore the musical world of Dave Brubeck beginning before the famous quartet and continuing 45 years after that group disbanded. We will consider his entire 60-year career as a performer and composer.
