[NEW COURSE] Who wrote the Old Testament? Was it based on verifiable historical facts or stories passed down through generations, or a combination of these? We will use two videos from The Great Courses to supplement the PowerPoint presentation. We will start with the collection of the narrative over time, including language, then move on to the formative effect of the Babylonian Exile, the significance of the prophets, and the finding of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their significance to the text and interpretation of the Bible.
