Course Description

[NEW COURSE] We will explore the various portrayals of Sherlock Holmes in movies and on television, from the 1900 silent film Baffled to Benedict Cumberbatch’s modern interpretation. We also will read selected canonical “adventures,” view their adaptation to film, and determine what these adaptations tell us about Sherlock Holmes. Audio/Visual, Discussion, Lecture, Reading
