People have fashioned 3-D figures out of clay since the beginning of time: Sculpture! This series will explore the evolution of sculpture from the earliest figures to those made during the 15th C. Renaissance. We will look at cultural incentives, materials, patrons, and artists. We will follow the thread as artists use sculpture to express ideas about life. Part 2 will follow in the Winter 2025 Term. Audio/Visual, Lecture (No class November 25)

Nancy McAfee has an MA in art history, taught AP art history for 10 years, and was an educator at the Cleveland Museum of Art for 18 years.
