[NEW COURSE] These 1798 “nature poems,” so simple on the literal level, revolutionized the form and theory behind poetry and are still the template for poetry to this day. We’ll read a selection of Wordsworth’s poems, including Tintern Abbey, and finish with Coleridge’s Rime of the Ancient Mariner.  Discussion, Lecture, Reading (No class November 25)

Donna Richardson

Donna Richardson is professor emerita at St. Mary's College of Maryland where she taught literature for 33 years. Her specialties include poetry (especially Romantics), mythology in Greek literature, and Tolstoy.
