F76E Online Film Discussion (Zoom; OLLI @ U of A)
Zoom | Available (Membership Required)
Each week we’ll watch a favorite movie available on Netflix or Prime. I’ll choose and present the first film. In the eleven weeks that follow, class members will have an opportunity to choose and present a favorite old film or a new film of interest. The presenter should have seen their suggested film. The class will vote on which film to watch for the following week. If no one volunteers, I will choose the film to discuss and may or may not introduce the film. If there are more than 6 suggested films, I’ll decide which to include. Those not chosen can be resubmitted. Class members are welcome to attend the discussion whether they have seen the film. This is a chance to revisit old favorites or share new ones. There may be a charge to watch some of the films.
Trudy Hill has an MS degree in Art Education from UW Madison and has taught art and reading to elementary, junior high, and adult students. She was a co-SGL for Science Fiction and Poetry Classes and SGL for Calligraphy Class. She is an SGL for Film Discussion classes. Her background includes working for Visa International as an architect of computer chips on payment cards and Visa systems that support them. Since she was a young girl, she has loved reading everything, watching films and making art (still does)!
