[NEW COURSE] The Active Communication Education (ACE) program is an interactive, discussion-based program that teaches participants to problem solve communication challenges they face in everyday life because of hearing difficulties. Participants learn to answer questions like: Why can’t the person with hearing loss understand in this situation?… What’s the source of the problem?… What can be done to fix it? ACE is designed for people with hearing loss or hearing difficulties regardless of whether they use hearing aids as well as family or friends of people with hearing loss. Enrollment Limit: 12

Erin Pickett

Erin Pickett, Au.D., CCC-A/SLP has been an audiologist at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at RIT for 10 years. She holds NYS audiology, hearing aid dispenser, and speech-language pathology licenses, and she is dual certified in audiology and speech-language pathology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She enjoys helping clients with hearing loss meet their listening and communication goals through the use of technology and aural habilitation/ rehabilitation.
