Sp19M An Introduction to Bonsai (In-Person)

In-Person | Available (Membership Required)

[NEW CONTENT] This class will consist of a lecture presentation and a demonstration. After an introduction to bonsai and a bit of its history, the course leader will start a small nursery plant on its slow journey to becoming a real bonsai tree. The demonstration will involve pruning and shaping, wiring, root pruning, and potting – all during which he will provide his usual illuminating commentary. At the end some brave, lucky person in the class, chosen by lot, will become the caretaker of his creation and take it home and start worrying about it. The class is for anyone interested in bonsai. Enrollment Limit: 30 Discussion, Lecture
